Electric boilers with a ceramic heating element. The ceramic heating element of an electric boiler is not in direct contact with the water, so limescale does not form on the heating element. Therefore, these electric boilers are considered maintenance-free. The system of ceramic heating elements in Dražice boilers withstands hard and aggressive water exceptionally well and significantly extends the tank’s service life in all conditions.
Other manufacturers mostly use immersion heating elements made of other materials (copper, stainless steel), and as a result electrochemical corrosion occurs. The operation of the electric boiler’s heating element is controlled by an operating thermostat, and in the event of overheating or a fault, a safety thermostat (thermal protection) is activated.
