Water Pumps

Water pumps are useful both for supplying drinking water to a house and for pumping away excess water, including wastewater. To bring drinking water into a house, a hydrofor water pump system located in the house or near the well is generally used, along with a deep-well pump located in the well. The choice of pump depends on the water level and how deep the water is. In a borehole deeper than a few tens of meters, a deep-well pump is used. In a shallower dug well, a hydrofor water pump system is used instead.

Water pumps are usually more affordable in a water-automaton system than deep-well pump systems, because installing a deep-well pump often also involves drilling a borehole. However, the power of the water automaton limits its possible use: water automatons have a lifting height of up to 8 meters, from which one meter is deducted for every 10 meters of distance between the well and the house. Thus, from a well located 10 meters away, a water automaton can draw water from a depth of seven meters.

In addition, with a water automaton it is necessary to consider the water level, which may fall below the minimum, preventing the automaton from functioning. Winter frost can also interfere with the process, so when installing the pump it is important to check that cold cannot reach the piping or water system. The problem can be prevented with a more powerful unit that can pump enough water even in more difficult conditions.

Before purchasing a water pump, it is worth consulting experts, making calculations, and choosing a water pump that suits your own needs.
